The Louisiana congressional maps have been officially released. Last night, the Supreme Court issued a decision in the Louisiana v. Callais case, which struck down the previous maps that limited the application of Section II of the Voting Rights Act (VRA). This decision allows for the creation of congressional districts based on racial quotas.

The Callais case specifically involved a map that was initially struck down under the VRA.
