Reaction from within royal circles has been measured but quietly supportive. A senior palace aide told a British newspaper under condition of anonymity, “There is relief, in a sense, that Meghan has addressed these cruel speculations so directly. It may finally allow space for healing and less tabloid frenzy around the children.”
