Pentagon Plans Troop Reduction In Germany Amid Displeasure with NATO

Earlier this week, Trump suggested that troop reductions were under consideration. His comments followed remarks by Merz, who questioned U.S. strategy in dealing with Iran.

“The Americans clearly have no strategy,” Merz said, adding that the United States was being “humiliated” by Iranian negotiators, leading Trump to respond in a series of social media posts, dismissing the criticism.

“He doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Trump wrote, accusing Merz of interfering with efforts to address the Iran nuclear threat.
