Those stories, published between 2016 and 2017, helped shape the public perception that Trump’s campaign was under serious suspicion of collusion with Moscow — a narrative that persisted for years despite Special Counsel Robert Mueller ultimately finding insufficient evidence of a criminal conspiracy.
